[专题报道：DoSTOR存储专栏] 作为全球领先的网络存储中文媒体——存储在线立志于为推广国内存储业的教育与发展做出自己的贡献。近期，存储在线将集合一批在国内存储界从事多年技术研发及产品推广的专业人士和存储业界领袖，组织一系列的专栏讲座，以便更多的行业内人士及最终用户获得更多的有关存储技术演进及最新发展的动态。 欲申请“存储在线”作存储访谈或存储趋势分析，请按以下联系方式联系我们： Tel:010-82113315 / Fax:010-82115033 / Email:editor@dostor.com / 联系人:刘强 存储市场近年来的发展十分迅猛，令IT其他领域望尘莫及。自1997年以来，存储行业的增长率一直保持在20%以上，远远超过IT界的平均增长率。这一势头目前还没有丝毫减弱的趋势，据业内专家估计，2006年将是存储行业的顶峰之年。而同时，2000年的全球存储产品销售额已经超过300亿美元，由此可见，用“如日中天”来形容今天在IT业中的存储行业并不过分。 随着数据量的增加，网络存储的需求也在增长。企业必须为文件、Web应用、数据库等服务，提供满足其需要的存储能力。传统的SAN和NAS技术，在一定程度上，减轻了一些压力。但是，主机CPU的负荷并没有得到丝毫减低，尤其是在运行多媒体应用和资源敏感数据库时。DAFS（直接存储文件系统——Direct Access File System）作为一种文件系统协议，可以在大量甚至过量负载时，有效的减轻存储服务器的计算压力，提高存储系统的性能。 今年2月11日，IEFT（Internet Engineering Task Force国际互联网工程任务组）终于通过了iSCSI协议标准，并发布了iSCSI协议的RFC（Request For Comments）草案。从去年9月的提交，到今年2月的通过，在长达半年的时间里，IETF的IP存储工作组到底都在做些什么？也许我们能从一位工作组主席早些时候的话中找到点线索，这位名叫大卫?布莱克的主席同时也是EMC公司的高级技术顾问，他含蓄的告诉媒体，“RFC应该在一个月之后给出”虽然“目前标准已经完成，不会再有任何的技术改动。”事实上，由于此次新标准的出台势必会对传统光纤设备厂商产生相当的影响，所以平衡各方利益的“政治斗争”造成了iSCSI技术的姗姗来迟。 随着网络存储技术的飞速发展，各种存储设备和技术正趋于融合。总有一天，现在的光纤和SCSI磁盘阵列、NAS文件服务器、磁带库等设备都可以运行在一个统一标准的架构中。IP存储（Storage over IP简称为SoIP）——在IP网络中传输块级数据——使得服务器可以通过IP网络连接SCSI设备，并且像使用本地的设备一样，无需关心设备的地址或位置。而网络连接则是以IP和以太网为骨干，这令人联想起今天耳熟能详的存储域网（SAN）结构。只是以廉价而成熟的IP和以太网技术，替代了光纤通道技术。
